@Danimal506 dude I love when it comes down the wire for the championships! I like seeing someone different winning each race. Max had it pretty easy last year but he’s being tested much more this year and the level of competition is super high.

6 multi-race winners this season so far. That’s what I like. I wish the field had caught RBR faster so we would have a WDC as well as a WCC race but what a season.

@WhiskeySandwich Hell yea! This season has been great. Every race truly has been unpredictable. I wish I had more time to watch every minute of coverage. I watch with my 2.5 year old and he loves it!
I have a fun fact of having seen the winning driver of each race that I’ve been to, go on to become World Drivers’ Champion.
I saw Nico Rosberg win at Monza in 2016, Lewis Hamilton win at CotA in 2017 and Max Verstappen win at CotA in 2021. All became WDC that year. -
would be lovely seeing a drivers decider in Abu Dhabi. with that said, I hope next season will be exciting as I'll be heading back to Suzuka for Round 3. Hamilton in a Ferrari, will I be a convert.

@Danimal506 Suzuka looks like it would be one of the most fun tracks to drive. Those the sweeps in sector one alone look so great watching the drivers go through.
Been out of the loop of this thread for a second, but man oh man these last couple of weekends have been wild. Watching Max and Lando go at it, and Ferrari just scooting on by. Max really has been doing the math, and doesn’t care about the penalties if it keeps Lando within range.
Hopefully, Leclerc makes it out of the formation lap in Brazil this weekend without a rouge flying tire bounding toward him.

@alexxedge I used to love driving Suzuka on Gran Turismo!
My buddy had a badass steering wheel setup.
We would all hang out, drink beers and set fastest laps in the F1 car against each other
Suzuka was always a fun one. The rhythm of the track while driving is just so good. Tsukuba was another fun one for quick laps in a Honda Civic or something. I gotta get a sim setup someday when my son is older. -

@Danimal506 yeah definitely. Suzuka and Silverstone are one of my top rated circuits.
Was at S-curves last year and decided to book the stands overlooking turn 1-2-3 however we didn’t managed to get it so this year we’ll be at the end of turn 1-2

Fun fact: Suzuka is one of the cheapest Grand Prix to attend in terms of ticket prices. 3rd cheapest if I remember correctly

Qatar was an absolute disgrace. The grid penalty to Max because of George’s whining, then the worst race direction and stewardship I’ve ever seen. That mirror sitting out there for almost 10 laps led two two punctures and two penalties, and they’re lucky that was it. Then they went way overboard on the penalty to Lando, and I suspect many other drivers were guilty and not given effectively a death penalty.
This was obvious thumb on the scale for a WCC race to go down to the wire. I’m glad no one died due to this chicanery but it completely ruined the race.
Garbage circuit, garbage race direction, garbage race stewardship.
