No need.  Any half decent machine can restitch the patch on (hell even I can do that with my hand driven Singer).

And the back pocket is super easy too.

As an aside, we now use stronger thread and double the stitching at each end of the patch sewing line…...

They were strong as. I just caught it real good

Sewing it back on is no problem but I have a different plan for the patch repair

                    G. - using stronger threads just for the patch or for sewing the whole denim together?

need to resew my patch as well…

The patch.  The problem with the patch is that unlike a lot of other brands, the stitching is just at the top and the bottom (rather than all the way around), so that you can get your belt through the patch if that is what you like to do.  That coupled with the thickness of the leather imposes great stress at the 4 corners.

The Polycotton that we sew the 634S with is and has alwayts been super strong.

On some jeans where we are aiming for a more vintage look (666 and 634SR) we use cotton.  This does tend to give up quicker than Polycotton, but that's part of the vintage look we are trying to recreate.

I love being able to put my belt under the patch.  other wise the super duper thick bad ass feckin patch make my belt tight.

So after the Canada Post strike finally ended I got my jeans on Thursday, here's some quick fit pics. Initial reactions are that I will never buy any other type of jeans ever again. These are so freakin' burly and well made, I can never go back to anything lesser haha.
