Ripped my favorite shorts the other day. Not a professional job cos it's mine

I've wanted to improve my amateur mending skills for a while now so recently took on the task of patching up a friends work jacket for him after multiple seasons as a landscaper

Unsure whether this question belongs here or in the Sneakers thread.
My Scarpas have started detaching on both sides of the ball of the foot. On both shoes. Pics added for clarity.

Has it happened to anyone else? If so, which glue was the solution? Unsure which one to use here as I’d be glueing roughout suede to rubber at a major flexing point…doesn’t sound an easy task.
Thanks for all suggestions. I’m not ready to give up on them, excellent sneakers so far.

@motojobobo I'd try something like shoe goo first or some other highly rubberized adhesive.
In a pinch I've used liquid nails as well that held shoe bits together forever.

Loctite makes a shoe glue, you could also use E6000 glue.

Thanks for the suggestions @pechelman and @chrisjohnnick ! None of the four products you’ve mentioned are locally available but I think I’ll have an easier time chasing down ShoeGoo or Loctite, as they are more familiar brands. It’ll take a bit of time but I’ll report on results in due course.

Was able to get a pretty close match on the weft color of a pair of 634s using white cotton thread dyed with earl grey tea (thread below) - now i just need to figure if/how to repair

Have another roached out jacket on the table

Got the collar pretty much handled and now trying to tame the massive hole on the top back panel

This particular type 3 is shorter than I'd prefer so if I can successfully rehab it will likely go to my wife or a friend

Wow, that is annoying. Never happened to me. I've had the front of the sole come away from the toe on a couple of pairs. Think I used some Loctite stuff.....

Hoping to get this guy finished up in the next day or 2 - it's a little over my head so lots of trial and error.
Have the extra fabric secured and then drew a rough grid with dissolvable sticky paper....now lots of small stitches back and forth

Crossed the finish line.
Some parts are cleaner than others but it is now a stucturally stable jacket

Probably slightly more meditative since it's easy to space out and not think about anything else while you are doing it.

@GraemeE hell yea dude. So cool to bring back a piece from the dead like that and give it new life. Bet you learned couple tricks along the way…or at least hopefully less thumb pokes as time went on.
