Looks like sizing down to a S is the way to go for me. Feels weird to take a small size in IH, normally it's pretty snug but this one is definitely cut differently. Not a bad thing, I often size down to S in American brands or some of the Swedish Americana stuff like Indigofera.
I am really excited for this one! How heavy does this jacket feel compared to the N1? I had an A2 from Buzz Rickson some years ago (in a medium and the measurements are almost identical to the IH A2 in size S), at I really liked how light and soft it was. The problem with that jacket was the zipper, the number of times I gave up trying to zip it up and just buttoned it. Period correct are zippers are cool in theory...ideal and ykk number 8's are the best in real life.

@BalticBob you're welcome. I know if may feel weird but I think sizing down to a small will be the way to go for you. It should fit well enough to where if you wanted to just wear a T-shirt underneath it you could but you will also have enough room to wear a thicker button up or sweater underneath it on those really cold days. At least that's how a L works for me. If I recall correctly I think I'm even able to wear an UHF flannel underneath mine but it's been a year or so since I've worn my A2 ......so don't quote me on that.

Oh and I don't own an N1 but I'm going to guess it feels pretty damn close to an N1 as far as warmth and weight go.

I’m sticking to a medium on this one I have a Eastman D1 which measures 60cm in the chest and it works for me

As if I needed another jacket...so I'll end up getting one anyways haha. I'm going to wait for it to arrive at my Stockist so I can try it on and get one that I like the fit with. Pretty excited because this looks like another great coat.

I'm sorry you feel that way. If we had a crystal ball we would be able to perfectly match supply to demand, but we don't and nor does any retailer. We have to try and gauge demand months before we even expose the product to our customer base, and often the moment we do, re realise we have ordered too few or too many, but by that time, it is too late to change our order to Haraki, and thus the factories. Fabric has been ordered and factory time reserved. I can 100% assure you that when we get it wrong we are as disappointed as you guys, we're here to sell, and here to make you happy, being lame is not part of how we achieve that.
If you complete a tell me when back in stock there may well be a return, and if there is, you will get an email notification the moment it goes into stock. Also, there are quite a few in most sizes in Japan, if you drop and email to shop@ironheart.co.uk, they guys may be able to sort you out.

Wow these did sell fast. Good stuff. I can’t be mad though because I have a deck jacket already. Do you guys think these will be a yearly thing like the N1?

I am pretty disappointed to have missed this because I need a good winter Jacket. I have a down jacket from Ceccarelli wich is awesome for really fowl weather but way too much for 80% of winter. I had your N1 and M65 but the N1 was a bit too flashy for my tastes and the M65 was just not warm enough. So, needless to say, I had my heart set on this one since, despite my best efforts, I haven‘t been able to convince the IH folks that a wool blanket lined duck canvas jacket is a good idea. Its a great idea by the way

It doesn't look like the A2 has hit IH Germany yet. Maybe that would be an option.

@Chippindale I don’t think IH Germany have taken this jacket. Not included in the stockist list, and they haven’t listed it on their F/W24 preview either

Picked mine up and love it, it's a little lighter than my N1 but perfect for our current fall weather. The only thing it's missing is an inside pocket where I can put my phone, but it looks easy enough to have one added on. As a bonus the wife really liked it, even though she's the one who always reminds me I don't need any more jackets!
