@prpx I had a similar experience seeing them. First show was like their second or third after the big Coachella reunion iirc, and they were psyched. Amazing show. Second time was about a year later, still Kim in tow, but everybody looked miserable and played like they were just at work. That documentary about them is a pretty plain example of how much they dislike each other — so damn unfortunate because they really were the fucking best. Great shit don’t always last, though!

What i remember most from that documentary is an insight into Dave Loverings hobbies

My favorite song of this record from 1995 is ‚FOR ALL I CARE‘. Not much time for records at the moment, so I did this as a random pick tonight.
Lo and behold a good old Rock’n’Roller.
Loved Steve’s live performance back in the time of Dream Syndicate- The days of wine and roses Mindblowing for a seventeen year old.
Here his KEXP performance of ‚Amphetamine‘ with The Miracle 3.

@GraemeE Just started browsing through this thread, and saw your Soft Machine album, which I had. Saw them open for Jimi Hendrix at Hunter College in 1968. One of my favorite lyrics from Why are We Sleeping…Begins with a blessing,Ends with a curse,Making things better by making them worse. Just seeing that album cover brought back that memory.

@Aetas - i’ve seen Steve Wynn and M3 live i think in 2003, playing in front of 200 people audience. To this day one of the best concerts i’ve ever been.

This Dream Syndicate from 1982 was standing next to the solo Steve Wynn I showed before. Thought about how to order records again…
Once in ‘High Fidelity’, they talked about to do it autobiographical.
Nonsense or not I rewatched the movie last night and look what record was displayed. TNT!
