It'll still catch fish.....But I have a spare (and two in green, which may actually be a better colour) - well I lent it to one of the Frenchies who's gone back to The Ivory Coast with it, though he does say that he will get it to me when he is back in Europe in Dec. Though that may mean that I have to go and meet him and do a bit of fly fishing together, not bought that up with Paula yet
I think that I learned a lot about what lures to use this time, so I'm going to "refresh" my Tuna lure collection when I am in Japan in Nov. Tackle House will get a bashing....

@Jett129 love the washed out color scheme over the blue cream UHF Arthur

@Giles I was going to try and buy you a lure or two…after brief research I have accepted that I am in over my head. There are quite a few manufacturers out there and hard to judge from pictures what’s good. Might be a new topic for me to study
Yeah, it's difficult. Fishing is all about confidence, and if I don't have confidence in alure then I can't/wont fish with it. I bought a new lure (well, I bought a few) to try out in Morocco, I tried it for a few casts and just could not get it to swim properly, It'll never get used again. Conversely, the Bass I caught on Saturday was caught on a lure I was trying for the first time, and it will now become my lure of choice when I want to fish in 4-6 feet of water and there are no snags.

@Tago-Mago It’s one of those where I’m proud of her in a few ways. One being she was disappointed with her performance and thought she could do better. Two is that she was the only eighth grade girl from her school that ran today.
Convincing her that she did what no one could or even tried to do was difficult to convey, but after two of her favourite teachers and schools principal repeating the same thing to her helped her understand. We all were happy that she made the effort and as a dad that’s all I hoped for.
Trying to instill in the kids that anyone can do anything if they put their mind to it, and not everyone is good at everything. Giving up before trying is not something that I really want them to accept though.
It’s way too easy to say I can’t and all I want them to say is I tried…
Just rambling thoughts and how we are trying as parents…
