IHSH-397-IND - 21oz Sashiko Work Shirt - Indigo

@SKT I don’t really have the money at the moment and I’m waiting on the SBG type III. Still tempting as hell, though. I need to just remember that I almost always default to black tops and indigo bottoms, and stuff I buy that’s outside that combo tends to hang around in the closet. If this same fabric were to come back later as a CPO though, I’d be pretty damn powerless.

@Graham any thoughts on how this fabric compares to the 12oz dobby used in the 380 (other than the obvious weight difference)?

@popvulture How about black bottoms and indigo tops?? I find either way to be a winning combo.
Last year when I was only rocking my XHSbb it felt like everything looked so damn good all the time. Now im back to indigo jeans in the rotation and have to be more cognizant of the pairings.

@Mizmazzle I definitely flip flop like this when I wear black jeans sometimes, but probably more often than not I tend to just go all black.

I do plan on wearing my 295 with black jeans a lot more this winter. It’s a prime example though of how when I buy something outside of my pattern, it can end up neglected unless I really force myself to wear it.

I feel like after buying a ton of stuff over the past several years, it’s been nice to figure out that I’m happiest in blue jeans / black tee / black leather jacket / boots. I’d be cool with the Pee-Wee closet version of that

I so want this but I feel guilty since I bought it’s younger brother the 389 and I haven’t even been able to wear it since it hasn’t gotten below 80 degrees in 4 months and there so much other stuff I want.

Was so looking forward to this, but with no size xs available and the size small too big, I won’t be joining this party - bummer - but my wallet is celebrating. The only possible positive would be if a western version was released in my size in the future which would be my preference anyway.

I'm interested @Graham how does this feel on? 21oz seems like a jacket to me. Does it feel like a jacket or a shirt? The only 21oz IH top I have is the 526j white and id not call that a shirt at all. A wonderfully thick and stiff denim jacket

The way that drapes in the unbuttoned shot almost makes it look like duck / the untucked. Just thicker and heavier. Also looks similarly coarse. Any of that sound right to you @Graham ?

I am getting mixed feelings on this one with time. I fear the heavy curtain style with some cardboard effects. I will wait for more fit pics before pressing the trigger.

I might have the same feeling on this now. Hopefully the 380/389 fabric comes back in something that works for me, but if not, oh well. My only thought right now is that I'd really like to see this fabric in person.
