          Any lifters in here?

Where I live our stockist generally doesn't get straight fits of anything in. So the biggest IH model would be the 888.

My big legs but small waist tends to strain lots of pants, and I get a lot of abrasion in the crotch and between thigh area.

I wonder if anyone can weigh in to say if the classic 634 cut could be roomier than the 888? Going by the size charts, it would seem the 888 has a bit more thigh room, a bit less knee, but very very similar overall. But as I've realised, flat measurements don't totally capture all aspects of fit, especially under movement or sitting or any daily use.

The 888 is wider in the top block and thighs than the 634, for sure.

Hi guys. I’m brand new to Iron Heart. I was wondering if it’s recommended to soak these before wearing or if that is not a good idea. I know these are sanforized but I guess my biggest concern is if I want to hem the length at some point. I’m not sure how much the length will shrink after first soak/wash. Also, will a pre-wear soak affect the fades or fit at all? Thanks!

@dpork They are sanforized and one-washed - little to no shrinkage to be expected. You can wear them out of the bag and it will not make a difference in sizing and or fades.

@StiffLeg i still lift, not sure what your size is, but from my experience for the same tag size the 634 is roomier. That doesn't mean we are build alike. Although the upper thigh maybe a little bigger on the 888 what you feel when you wear them is that the 634 feels roomier. The 888 tapers from mid thigh all the way to hem. The 634 although slightly narrower at the thigh close to the croch is actually wider about 3 inches down and stays wider through the knee and all the way down to the hem. My 888's feel significantly tighter on my legs than the 634's

@StiffLeg for extra junk in the trunk, higher rise/888 is a benefit. 634s are great too but may want to consider sizing up one pending on your measurements. I rock both and love both cuts but my 634s sit a little below my hip line where the 888s sit a little above my hip line. Also, if you have bigger quads, the thigh measurement is a given but the knee measurement as @yannis mentions, should not be overlooked either. Goes a long way in how much range of motion you are looking for.
