A Tribe Called Quest - The Low End Theory
This was next on my list. Masterpiece.
-
Talking Dexter on the TV thread made me think how some of my favorite television started w some very high highs and ended with low lows… in no particular order, my top 5 TV bipolar runs:
Dexter
Game of Thrones
Lost
Carnival
Heroes -
@flannel-slut Heroes had so much potential! Man, that show had such a great first season.
-
-
@flannel-slut that’s a solid list. Carnival was good it just ended abruptly imo. Twin Peaks famously had bad 2nd season but that third season, flawless.
I think any show with a complex plot has trouble extending beyond the first couple seasons. X-Files is another good example.
I loved West Wing, terrible after Aaron Sorkin left.
-
Twin Peaks. That one has been on my radar for a while
