Resort Wear/Resorts
-
Added some Bedrock sandals to my adventure/relax wardrobe. I really love these things and can’t recommend them enough.
-
@sabergirl I am so glad it fits. And it looks a million times better on you than it did on me.....
-
I love Battenwear and own a bunch of pieces, but their fits tend to be a little short on me.
We leave for London & a cruise to Norway tomorrow and this will be the first trip ever without IronHeart. Instead will be mixing up Lululemon, ArcTeryx, Veilance, and Vollebach. Gonna be weird

This summer I’ve rotated Battenwear camp shorts, climbing shorts, and climbing pants and worn almost no IH bottoms. It feels weird but suits my current “can’t be bothered” vibe. The integrated belt is
and they pair well with IH summer chambray and the dobby indigo western.
They make good “overpants” for swim trunks at the pool too. Keep your wallet, keys, and phone in there and doff them when you get to the chair.

@Anesthetist Have a great trip! Sounds like you'll be much more agile

@mclaincausey I'm still wearing jeans most days because San Diego is one of the strangest climates in the country. On the rare hot days, I do reach for my Battenware Local Shorts, and the drawstring is so much lighter and cooler than a heavy belt.
-
HUGE sale at Villebrequin. Lots of stuff 80% off.
-
I’m incredibly bummed that Battenwear is on hiatus. The main fella is closing up his LA shop and headed back to Japan.

I'm a big fan of the Sun Surf and Star of Hollywood Hawaiian shirts. The rayon ones can be more elegant, and they feel great, but they need dry cleaning. The various cotton &/or linen shirts are nearly as nice and a lot easier to take care of. In particular, the 'Atomc' line of Star of Hollywood shirts absolutely nails the 50's vibe (as far as I know...) I also like very colorful madras short sleeve shirts.

@mclaincausey Recently visited them at their office in Topanga and they aren't taking off too much time. They have a new collection coming out this Fall!
-
@TENDREL thank you! I really dig what they do.
