If only we could post smells! Just opened a pack of El Jaragual and they’re not lying about the strawberries – got a big hit when grinding and it’s still there in the final brew. Worth grabbing if you can.

I had a fun hour at the San Remo coffee machine showroom in London last week.

The YOU home machine is pretty impressive with its pressure profiling capabilities. Expensive but when compared to other machines it seems to offer a lot more features.

Today’s lesson is making sure the burner’s got enough fuel in it before starting brewing. Got premature draw down and severe under extraction!

Still learning so syphon tips and tricks appreciated.

Wow. What a great bean. I did a Kalita pour over yesterday and iced it, and using my Ratio brewer and pouring over ice didn’t lose much, so it is more than functional as a morning coffee for the wife and me.
