Couple of things to help you figure out the best size:

1. Measure a jacket that fits you the Iron Heart way as described here: https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum//post/5666
2. Reach out to the guys at IHUK at shop@ironheart.co.uk. They will be able to help you with any questions you might have regarding sizing
3. I'm sure someone on here will have advice on sizing from personal experience

@Mirko-S There is no such thing as "usual" size, because there is no global sizing standard, see here

Also, body types vary a lot:

So to make sure you get the correct size, please do as @Tago-Mago suggests. We want to do our utmost to make sure that we get it right first time.....

Hello! I'm new to this forum and to IH jeans I recently bought a pair of PBJ jeans and I like it a lot so far, but now I ordered the IH-526PJ (I tried before when I bought the PBJs in 38 M) and I would like your opinion on the fit. This is a 38(M), it fits snug and tried it with a flannel shirt as well. I just uncertain if M is how it is supposed to fit, or if I should go for a 40(L). I look forward to hearing your feedback! @DPR looks perfect to me, it'll soon mould to your body shape and start to drape better!

It looks perfect over a tshirt. It depends how it feels to you and how you want to layer it or not.

@DPR Looks good, 21oz denim stretches a bit and gets super soft when you wear it. Getting large would end up with too long sleeves and too big in the shoulders. You nailed the fit!

@DPR Don't have this exact jacket - I have the 16oz slubby version - but the fit looks good to me.

Thank you guys! I was uncertain because I saw other pics when the shoulders looked a little bigger on people and looked good. But if I get size 40 (L) it may probably be too big on other sides. I'm just planning to wear this jacket with a t-shirt and light hoodie at the most. Now time to wear it at home the whole summer to break it in nicely! lol
