I have wondered this too...the only thing I can think of is to loosen the strap and put it on over both arms (like an inflated pool ring sorta) and then tighten it up when it is around your waist. But this would have to happen in reverse to take it off. IDK. Maybe I'll try with my 45 when I get home if I can remember.

@Mizmazzle it works like a ring belt. You just undo the strap at one end and re-bind it through two D rings. The friction holds it securely. It is also easy to tighten and loosen.

i swear i've seen a picture of Haraki-san with a modified waist bag that had a clip on the end of the strap to be easier to take off/on. Maybe I'm making that up?

Let the Fanny Fade Off begin! @Mizmazzle & @T4920 … you should totally join in @Daniel-San I didn’t think I needed one but got the SSxOGL on the outlet to try it out. I think this will allow me to enjoy westerns and work shirts more because I need a place to put my big phone. This has carried my wallet, sunglasses, passport, phone, AirPods, and other random items for the past two weeks. Also in the hot summer when I want to wear gym shorts. This will carry my stuff.

So happy I get to fade this piece. I can’t wait to see it in 10 years!

@Fadez if you use it daily, you'll be surprised how quick fast bags fade! My shoulder bag is probably my best faded IH item, 18 months of daily wear will do that I guess, all that friction against the body as you walk..

Gonna have to be careful to only wear this with dark clothes for the first year/couple of washes though, whilst I appreciate the wabi-sabi, indigo transfer ain't for me

@pechelman can’t say I’ve seen it. I can’t see it working on the original leather versions either as the leather is thick and double layered and the construction typically heavy duty.

I suspect the aesthetics of the old school friction system are more to H’s taste. Also the fact of the matter is that it is that it is very, very secure.

Just got to Nha Trang today. Spent a solid week in DL. The temperature change is more than noticeable @T4920 I’ll be a few weeks behind you and Miz on the challenger, but I think I can make up for it this summer

I have a student who just got a Fanny/ shoulder strap bag he’s been wearing for “fashion” as he calls it. I showed him this denim one we’re getting yesterday. I’m pretty stoked to rock fanny packs with him. His eyes got pretty big too!
