@Tago-Mago It was more the email in general, then the discussions on sweaters on the forum re: Dehen, Andersen-Andersen, etc…

This place and the people on here all the time are not good for a person like me… 🙂

I think subconsciously, it’s the pics of @Karol in his sweater that made me remember the email. He looks really good in his Dehen and I was/am wondering if I could pull it off…

Same with me and Viberg boots. I see pics of them on here, but north of €900 is a bit steep. I haven't talked myself into buying a pair (yet)

As you can probably guess I read almost every post here daily and am constantly making mental notes. Sometimes I can skip items with ease and once in a while something sticks. Recently it was the olive green Lofgren boot’s and now it’s the shawl sweaters.

Like I said previously, a bad place for rabbit hole enthusiasts 🐰

@goosehd Denis, I’m certain that You will not only pull it off but in fact excel in it. If I remember correctly, I saw earlier that You mentioned that it’s the type of wool (hard and scratchy) is one of the reasons why You been hesitant. I completely agree and my way of dealing with it is to always have at least one long sleeve layer underneath. In most cases it’s 2 layers. Some henley as a base layer and then a UHF. Doing that I did not experience any scratching except from shawl part on the neck.

Dehen also has another product (Full-Throttle Moto-Hoodie) from the same wool but with the liner. That can be easily worn with T. https://dehen1920.com/collections/sweaters/products/full-throttle-moto-hoodie-black

Going back to shawl cardigan. They are so much in line with IH in terms of quality and even the cut (trim forearms) that I went and got myself another one in grey. If that will not motivate You I don’t know what will 🤣
                  Sorry for the crappy photo.

@goosehd if you want to dip your toe into a Dehen style cardigan at a lower price point, check out North Sea Clothing. Similar styles made for inclement weather. They restock their core items regularly and have a sale each year.

I love this vest (Fleurs de Bagne) but the zipper is crap. Where can I get some heavy brass, IH-shit like? @Giles

@endo do you have a tailor locally that could swap easily? Not sure what @Giles was thinking, but I am sure Steve from SB could source you a zip and we can stack it for you until needed

@Heavy_blue I assume you already know about the ih 1600 and merz 2s14 and consider those too heavy. If that's the case, I agree with @T4920 that TFH 9oz are a great "mid to heavy" option. Another in that category, albeit slightly lighter with a more conventional tshirt feel, but still super luxe, is the unique garment 7 oz airy t. Every time that one finishes drying, I seem to wear it within a day or two. It's always either on my body or in the hamper or drying. A good sign, I think.

Also agree with @Mizmazzle that warehouse 4601 slub/shadow is amazing and gets better with time (as horizontal texture materializes). However, these are totally different from the ts discussed above. Almost like comparing slubby denim to 21 oz. Those above are smooth and sleek. This thing is full of texture and lush.

If you're ok with the t not being loopwheeled, the new heavy weight samurai workwear ts with the logo on the pocket are quite nice too and similar weight range as THF 9oz and UG airy 7oz.
