@mclaincausey new to me but liked this enough to check out their schedule. They’re playing near me this weekend but both nights are sold out
-
@ARNC yeah they have gotten really popular suddenly on very limited releases. I heard them on the XM Chill station much to my surprise. I’m happy for them.
-
@mclaincausey I’m on the waiting list for Saturday, so fingers crossed!

@Tago-Mago I get that it might not be for everyone but it turned out to connect to other stuff I like that reaches similar territory from a completely different direction, albeit at a much higher volume. Often the link (direct or at one step removed) seems to be Hildur Guðnadóttir.

@ARNC obviously, music is highly subjective. It's not for me is probably the best way to describe it. It just reminds me of the ending of a show where everyone leans their instrument against the amp and walks off stage to the feedback. Still, plenty of stuff in my rotation that other people can't stand, so who am I to judge?
The most important part is that you enjoyed it and have uncovered something new, which is always a good thing -
English friends: these guys are hella fun “daytime disco” and coming your way.
-
@Tago-Mago completely agree and I’m not trying to take you with me on this. Having said that, one of the most enjoyable side effects of this IH thing we share is the good people on here helping me expand my musical horizons.

@mclaincausey love me some poolside
My first exposure was their harvest moon cover -
@Tago-Mago you’re on!
These are a couple of the pieces I had in mind earlier - you’ll probably hate them!

That’s absolutely not what I copied out of YouTube. Let’s try this again.
