@endo that’s definitely something I’m wondering about. Seems like it would be a lot easier on this type of split leather versus a normal thick horse hide leather jacket.

@Mizmazzle fit looks dynamite here with the overshirt underneath! If that’s how you plan to wear it I think it’s on the money.

Would try and get straight answer from the seller on the sleeve marks, but I can’t imagine it’s something you would have too much trouble cleaning off/out.

Saw elsewhere I think on eBay or maybe style forum someone selling or having sold one with shortened sleeves and it looked great, so it definitely can be done if the sleeve length is the only hiccup FWIW!

@Mizmazzle that sleeve length would drive me crazy. with the money to have it altered if you are happy with the rest of the fit. From the back the shoulders look a bit wide, but not as bad with the Wabash layered under. If they only had a size between medium and large.

@jordanscollected I got a great deal on it. So I’m pretty heavy leaning on having the sleeves shortened. It would be perfect if they were about 1.5” shorter. I had to run an errand early this morning and it was pretty chilly out still. Threw it over a UHF and it was super easy to wear. Mobility in a jacket is important to me and this one gives me room to move and raise my arms etc.

unless you want to keep the cuff flipped back all the time, imo you gotta get those sleeves shortened if you keep it.
Same notes as everyone else with the shoulders being on the big side of acceptable. As for the marks on the sleeve, it's hard to see, but are there 2 to 3 more horizontally across the mid-back? Looks like on the left and right seam and one almost in the middle?

@pechelman I noticed those marks in the photo too. I checked the jacket. It’s just the texture of the jacket and the lighting. Other than the sleeve it’s in immaculate condition. Don’t think it will be hard to clean those spots. The guy I bought from on Grailed is being cool. But it’s impossible to show him pics of the spots with their interface. Can’t share emails and can’t upload pics to their messages.

Just dropped off my jacket to the local furrier. This guy has been around forever in my town. As soon as I set it on his table he was like, “wow, this is split cow! This is really heavy and will last the rest of your life!” He was impressed with the jacket.

He’s going to take 1.75” off the cuff end and maintain the length of the side cuff split. Feel a lot better about approaching it this way versus altering from the shoulder.

Get it back next week…stay tuned.
