Hi.  Any opinions on how these would compare with the 21oz?  I've got the 16oz slubby 888's.  Looking for another pair so I'm not wearing the same jeans everyday.  Been waiting for the 21oz to come back in stock when I saw these.  Any thoughts?  Would one be softer, better in the warmer weather, fade differently?  Thanks Joe

@jmceachern Noticeably lighter than the 21oz, I'd say equal on the 'breathability' scale but a lot of that is down to preference and how warm you find denim. They're not too dissimilar to the 16oz slub IMO so with the IH-888S-21 due in the coming weeks, I would advise waiting if you're after a pair that are different

I’m really glad a rogue size 30 reappeared in stock, and I jumped on it. My last new pair for quite some time. Nice rough texture with just a touch of coarseness and a hint of slub. They feel great and fit perfectly. Very different from the 142s or the 21s. Love em. I’ll wear to work tomorrow.

The denim is almost identical to a pair of Samurai (can’t remember weight, maybe 15 oz?) jeans that I moved on from a few years ago.

I bet their fabric was also made Shinya mills. Predictably, these fit better and have the IH consistent attention to detail that was sometimes lacking with my Samurai and Oni experiences. The higher rear rise of the 888 makes all the difference for me. The denim itself is amazing and is a really nice contrast to any of my other IH jeans.

I had a similar thought. Rise and thigh measurements look off from average 888 historicals.

This is such a great denim. One of the more textured offerings, with hints of bright blue right off of the bat. The weather is starting to cool just a bit, so I busted out my GOAT 21s and these. So good.
