Question about the sleeve opening measurements … are those zipped or unzipped?

        Asking for a friend.

just measured mine and it matches the sizing chart when unzipped. The forearms on mine fit pretty trim even without zipping as an fyi.

Would you mind giving me the zipped cuff size?

@Brandrea the cuff closes down from 5" to 4" on my size large. As a note, the zip on the gusset at its opening is 2" wide, so this creates a 1" wide fold of leather that needs room inside the cuff, along with your wrist, so it might feel more snug than that.

Sleeve update. This leather is wicked! Love the way it buckles rather than wrinkling.

And just to double check, this is the normal and expected type of wear to see, right? It looks a little more flaking/chipping than what maybe I was expecting.

And yes that is the way this jacket shows its core. I was sceptical at first too and thought it looked more like a defect rather than patina. But don’t worry, it will blend in after some time.

Hey all ✌🏻 new to the forum here…
I just recently stumbled over one of these jackets on eBay and instantly fell in love. Especially since it has a good taper to fit my slim waist and hip
Luckily it was also my size (L). At least I thought so.
When I asked the seller to confirm the measurements of the jacket provided by IH, the P2P chest was about 6 cm off ( 50 cm compared to 56,4). Other measurements were about right.
Understandably I’m hesitant right now - wanted to ask for your experiences, anyone encountered the same?
                        Thx in advance

there's normal variation on anything like this, but 6cm or 2.3" on the P2P width seems to be much too far off. I'd ask for a picture of how it was measured with the measuring implement in the photo.

That’s the one I got - sure, some variation is to be expected and the yard stick is arguably not the optimal way. But both won’t account for the discrepancy 🤔

Could be that measuring again with a soft tape measure for sewing/tailoring would eliminate most of the discrepancy. The one they used looks like it’s stiff and floating above the jacket, so it will probably read lower than the true measurement.

Also, I am not sure that the back panel is pulled taught. If the back panel is wider than the front panels and the garment is measured from the side seam to the side seam, you will get a smaller than actual reading.

Yeah - thx for your input so far. Unfortunately the seller is not overly responsive towards my questions 😕
I’d assume that the yard stick is really floating and that the angle between the starting and end-point of the measurement will also account for a certain amount.
Eventually, 56,4 is just slightly above my comfort level. A 55 ist really snug when closed, but I like my jackets to fight right anyway 😉 at 190cm and 85kgs, it’s just about the perfect measures for that. A XL would be too roomy in the stomach and waist area unfortunately.
Appreciate all of your input so far 😎

hi team - just wanted a fit check on this jacket please. I think this is probably the right size for me (L).....its fine unzipped like this, and i can zip it up but its definitely on the tighter side of things if i do, and doesn't look as good. I have a bit of a weird shaped body with narrower shoulders but a broader chest for my size, so its always a case of comprising somewhere for me (fitting to my torso or to my shoulders and arms) and i think this jacket is better fitted to the latter as i probably wouldn't zip it up that often anyway.........but just wanted some second opinions please!
