IHJ-54-BLK - Japanese Horsehide Rider's Jacket with Collar - Black (Tea-Core Dye
-
@weftyarn that jacket just looks better and better---any signs of the tea core peeking through yet?
-
@dinobarnesberlin thanks mate! No significant difference to the pics I posted before.
-
@weftyarn I will be trying to keep up with the process however long it takes---maybe it will be slow going then all of a sudden bang! There it is

Damn it … now you’ve all got me thinking about one of these. I need another jacket, like I need another hole in my head
-
Question about the sleeve opening measurements … are those zipped or unzipped? Asking for a friend.

So I think it’s time to sell my schott 519 and get one of these

Asking for a friend. just measured mine and it matches the sizing chart when unzipped. The forearms on mine fit pretty trim even without zipping as an fyi.

@pechelman thank you for that! Would you mind giving me the zipped cuff size?
-
@pechelman thanks so much for this information, I really appreciate it!

Love the way yours is showing age @weftyarn ! My horse is just a foal by comparison with the first bits of tea core showing. And just to double check, this is the normal and expected type of wear to see, right? It looks a little more flaking/chipping than what maybe I was expecting.
-
Awesome sleeve tunneling guys.
-
@pechelman looking good! And yes that is the way this jacket shows its core. I was sceptical at first too and thought it looked more like a defect rather than patina. But don’t worry, it will blend in after some time.

Hey all new to the forum here… new to the forum here…
I just recently stumbled over one of these jackets on eBay and instantly fell in love. Especially since it has a good taper to fit my slim waist and hip
Luckily it was also my size (L). At least I thought so.
When I asked the seller to confirm the measurements of the jacket provided by IH, the P2P chest was about 6 cm off ( 50 cm compared to 56,4). Other measurements were about right.
Understandably I’m hesitant right now - wanted to ask for your experiences, anyone encountered the same?
 Thx in advance
-
That’s the one I got - sure, some variation is to be expected and the yard stick is arguably not the optimal way. But both won’t account for the discrepancy
