It was awesome following along and watching your pool develop. Congrats to the lone iron heart survivor!

What is this craziness you have to have peacock to watch chiefs/dolphin playoff game.

      Now, I have an IRONHEART!!

I was just about to post about the Peacock BS!! Love how they market it as a first ever event!! Likes it a privilege to have to buy their service to watch the game. Annoying as hell.

@Mizmazzle I agree 100% it sucks. It’s $5.99 for a month, you just have to remember to cancel. There’s also a movie on Peacock that I want to see as well. Earlier this year Roger Godell said the the NFL is well on its way to making 25 Billion a year. They don’t care,They don’t have to.

We don’t have cable so we have most of the streaming networks. Peacock has some good shows. Poker Face is good. If you don’t have it there should be a free trial that would get you through the post season.

Does it have to be Peacock premium to get the game?

That’s what we have and we get the Sunday Night games. Premium is the $5.99 plan.

I don’t find the commercials to be overly obtrusive It’s not worth the add $6 to me but I understand the need for some to eliminate them.

@Mizmazzle I hate commercials so much that I DVR most shows,so that I can Fast Forward through them. When I watch football I record and then wait about an hour to start watching so I can zip through the ads,and as you know there’s lots of them. Usually watching in real time by the 3rd quarter.

Fair enough. The principle chaps my hide enough not to be into it no matter who is playing. Just pathetic. Voting with my dollars.

I’d rather pay the streaming services than the cable mafia. At least I can pay my $6 and bounce. I prefer that to a two year contract and criminal levels of customer service.

Playoff games need to be widely available IMO. I hope this blows up in their face.

I do to,but I fear this is just the beginning. A friend of mind said, well I’ll go to a sports bar and see it. I said to him you’re gonna drop $70-$80 on food and drinks,so you don’t have to pay $6. Yeah you showed them.

I guess technically it would reduce the ratings. I’m hoping for low ratings and a flop.

Why can’t they use the tried and true model of monetizing via advertisement sales?

@mclaincausey The only thing I can think of,and I'm not looking to defend them, is that this game was always scheduled to be part of NBC's package, and since it's on late, and Saturday, they didn'twant to take a chance on it running into SNL. There's a post I saw going around Facebook imploring people not to sign up for it, as this will eventually lead to The Superbowl being a Pay Per View.
