Custom Johannes in desert rough out leather with platinum stitching. I got these for a steal a few years ago in their discount section. IIRC the were around $350. I contacted Wesco to inquire as to why they were in the discount section of their website and the guy on the phone was stunned when he couldn't find anything wrong with them. They are the finest stitched boots I've ever seen and I get compliments on them all the time.

My Wesco navy horsehide engineers after 1.5 years. I’m assuming they are Horween chrome tanned.

Did the vamps go from navy to brown? Great patina, they look really good.

The vamps developed a brownish green patina (depending upon the lighting) - very little navy still remaining on the vamps @Nik

@Mlwdp very nice!! That black CXL is struck through and not tea core, right? Looks great. I just got a black CXL boot that is also not tea core. Love that it will stay pure black.

Thanks! The leather is teacore, which I believe is the same for Whites.

I always think I can tell if a black leather is teacore based on if you can see some brown around the edges of the leather. Yours looks black all through. Yet still teacore. Guess my method is not full proof.

Custom Johannes with Dr. Soles. Basically a boondocker clone made for my big ol feet.

Even though they used my custom last I had to buy a boot stretcher to address a couple hot spots. I’m happy with the results!
