Thanks @pechelman good tip to apply the wax when wearing the trousers, will try, won‘t really work with a jacket though.

@endo I rewaxed my Filson/Levi's type 3 jacket with a heat gun with a temperature regulator and it was for me the easiest solution. You can manage when the wax melt to avoid any damage.
I watched a lot of youtube videos before that to try to find the best wax and I finally went for a Filson/Barbour mixture.

Definitely has limitations for a top for anything beyond sleeves and the front. I know some people who bring a block with them camping and retreat as needed by the fire.

There's also a Nordhavn 47 that is close to us. Apparently at 02:00 this morning it was hanging onto the pontoon by one warp and heading towards us....Luckily the owner was on board (twat for not securing her properly when we all knew the storm was inbound BTW) and managed to get help to secure her again. It took a lot of time though......

Astounds me that people just assume that since the boats parked that it will be safe…

The new 8' antenna to pair with it turned up today. All will be installed next week (and I have actually fessed up to buying the antenna).

We do have Blink cameras installed and they are very good at giving me comfort. Here are a couple of images I grabbed just after dawn today....
