Hey all. Can anyone comment on this fabric vs. The 1501 11oz fabric. I’m sure this one is thicker and warmer. I’m more concerned about thickness. I have a jacket I love but it’s pretty trim. it fits best with a t shirt or light to medium thermal.
I’d like to find a fairly thin (less than an UHF or even 9oz flannel) shirt that fits as a layer that is thin yet still warm.
Kinda odd question I suppose. Curious if one of these two options would be a good fit.

I find the 1700 to be denser and warmer, but not necessarily thicker in a way the takes up more space under another shirt.

Perfectly sensible question.
This really is more of a sweater than a henly. It is a tight-ish waffle knit and can easily be worn as a middle layer over a tee. It isn’t much heavier than the 1501 fabric but the waffle knit makes it a little bulkier. Also the cut is a little bulkier.
For your needs I would go IH-1501/IHT-1600 or better still IHTL-1213/IHTL-1301.

The sizing chart has been updated on the original post for the IHTL-1700-Grey and Black. The size run is Small to XXL. There is no XS this time round.
The IHTL-1700 black is smaller across the board but about .5-1" on the shoulders.
The IHTL-1700 Grey is bigger than the last batch in the body, but the shoulders are similar, and the sleeves are similar to the previous run.

Thanks Josh, that’s a big difference from what I looked at just last evening.
It’s prompted me to buy! I wish the 1501’s had similar sizing.
