Chinos take their name from the fabric they are made from. Chino cloth is a cotton twill originally developed for the military. This version of what is now a classic casual pant is made from 9oz Japanese selvedge chino cloth. Iron Heart offers a number of different chino pants, this is our slim tapered, or '777' cut.

@AdamJ My 777 21oz indigo are tag size 31 that now measure 32 , my actual waist size, after approximately 10 wears. Not sure if the chinos will stretch similarly or would I be better off with tag size 32. Thanks for the advice

@DavidG I would aim for your ideal waist straight from the start with these. In my experience, you do not get the stretch that you're familiar with in denim. So I would go for got a Tag 32.
