@Karol I know that @Alex and @Giles has referenced capacity issues in the past and am quoting one of G’s responses. There are excellent suggestions made all of the time, brought forth on items to be made or remade, but there is only so much that can be done with limited resources.

During the lockdown in Japan virtually all foreign workers went home and were not allowed back in. So mills and factories have been running at approx 60% capacity for a couple of years.
Japan is opening up again now, so things will get better.
How we fix this as a company was one of the major talking points when @alex and I were in Japan a couple of weeks ago.
One of the factories that makes a lot of of our stuff was remarkable. They have built a lot of housing onsite for the foreign staff, they have individual kitchens in each apartment and a massive communal kitchen. They also have a massive vegetable garden so produce can be grown on site. Alex and I were totally blown away with the care that the owner of the factory and his wife took of their "family"….

We are officially at full capacity in all our workshops.
...and still can't make everything we hope, dream, and suggest. Capacity is capacity and there is only so much time, people, and machinery to make the things that we want. It's a good thing to dream, but sometimes reality dictates otherwise.

Please note that everyone’s suggestions for products are valuable to some degree. Some are great and come to fruition when time and space allows, others get a polite nod of acceptance, and other’s get downright rejected.
Ask @Giles, @Alex, or @endo how many times their idea’s have been shot down or ask Giles what it means when Haraki gives him the look.

does anyone track suggestions?
I was just envisioning a google sheet where we could all see, in one condensed place, what was suggested, when, who, and with a reaction from the IH Crew of their expected likelihood of it happening, and if so, when in very rough terms of something like 1,3, 5, or 10 years. Could you all make that? Want help to get it started? -

of course, but basically thinking the same thing. Might eliminate duplicate suggestions and also allow us to vote on them to help prioritize which ones that are likely to get here sooner or something like that. I also understand that this might be proprietary and you all would prefer not to share what you're thinking about to some folks who are already putting out similar things. Anyway, just a random thought. I'm still waiting on corduroy easy shorts, btw...those seemed like they were a shoe-in with the picture endo posted right after it.
