Wasn't be able to pass on the forum since a while, here's the reason why:

        It's my new old '76 Honda CB550.

I had a lot of job to do on this one but i think it turned pretty great IMO 😊

@gouki74 gorgeous build. Blue and tan are one my favorite combos and the chrome/polished short front fender, exhaust and minimalist under-seat look is so clean.

Thanks! This one is a 2010 Triumph T100 in the Tuxedo paint scheme. Super fun Modern classic.

@Jett129 , I get that. I was just stirring the pot, anyway. Growing up in Milwaukee, there was Harley, and only a little bit of everything else.

@scooter It wasn’t until after 1981 when HD bought themselves back from AMF,that they started to turn things around, and rebuild their reputation and that’s when they really started gaining in popularity in the NY area.

@Jett129 , That doesn't surprise me. There was no skin in the game. Around these parts, AMF was seen a little differently. Though, the quality was lacking, they kept the doors open for a lot of workers.

AMF bought Harley, the year I was born. As a kid, in the 70s, I have memories of my uncle, an OTR trucker, who had a collection of Harley's in his garage. Seven of them, at last count. One of them was a '72 Electra Glide, which he was quite fond of.

@scooter On another note,I’ve been to the HD factory in York,PA,3 times and every time I went I would learn something new. It’s been voted one of the 10 best places to see things being made. Whenever I go I feel like a kid in Santa’s workshop. Obviously I highly recommend it,you ever find yourself in that part of the country.

Probably selling her soon. Been fun but between work and life - haven’t had any time to tinker or ride. Last 4x I went out I had 4 very close calls with the city folk.

Told my girl we may be hanging up the helmets until we move to a more rural spot. We spot-hop but not big into cruising so I may take the time to start building one during the in between stage.

@iammortalcombat About a year and a half ago, when I sold my bike I was having the exact same feelings. I even live out in the suburbs, and it's just gotten significantly more congested out on the roads, and people have so much more stuff going on in their cars than they ever used to. I miss it most this time of year.
