It’s not a day time photo cause it’s a million damn degrees in Tucson. I’ve been riding at night. But I’ve got LEDs in the garage that show the color pretty well.

              It's my new old '76 Honda CB550.

I had a lot of job to do on this one but i think it turned pretty great IMO 😊

@gouki74 gorgeous build. Blue and tan are one my favorite combos and the chrome/polished short front fender, exhaust and minimalist under-seat look is so clean.

@scooter But you might as well have been across the street from the factory. Back then there was only one small dealership in Manhattan, and it was about the size of a bakery. When the Honda 750/4s came out they were really popular, because they were cheap.

@Jett129 , I get that. I was just stirring the pot, anyway. Growing up in Milwaukee, there was Harley, and only a little bit of everything else.

@scooter It wasn’t until after 1981 when HD bought themselves back from AMF,that they started to turn things around, and rebuild their reputation and that’s when they really started gaining in popularity in the NY area.

@Jett129 , That doesn't surprise me. There was no skin in the game. Around these parts, AMF was seen a little differently. Though, the quality was lacking, they kept the doors open for a lot of workers.

AMF bought Harley, the year I was born. As a kid, in the 70s, I have memories of my uncle, an OTR trucker, who had a collection of Harley's in his garage. Seven of them, at last count. One of them was a '72 Electra Glide, which he was quite fond of.

It’s been voted one of the 10 best places to see things being made. Whenever I go I feel like a kid in Santa’s workshop. Obviously I highly recommend it,you ever find yourself in that part of the country.
