I’m loving them already. Nothing beats 25oz in my book. Mo made it happen and I’m stoked!! Really love that they are pretty relaxed in fit for a 555. Like my 888 XHS and my 666 SBG had a love child and it’s soul is black!!!

@Mizmazzle I’m pretty sure it was these or it may have been another XHS Denim,andI think it was Giles who said that the sewers were having a difficult time with the denim,which accounts for the relaxed fit you speak of.

Yeah. Normally I think the 555 would be on the tight side for me. Looking at the measurements for the other cuts of XHSbb, I think these 555s are spot on for my tastes, even though my many pairs of 888s are incredible. The 888 XHSbb look too big in the thigh and top block.

Ok, did the fun stuff!! Wore em last night for the first time out for the wife’s b day dinner!! Safe to say it’s

Here’s the fit after the 60 min hot soak. Got some nice tightening up all around. I think I can get another 1/2” of length shrinkage if I warm machine wash them. I have two concerns at the moment:

1. Scared of marbling. I know a full soak before wash can help alot with that. But…still scared.

2. Honeycomb shift? Is it real?? Eventually I’ll need to wash em. If I wear em hard for awhile then wash em and get that shrink, will the combs shift? I’ve heard of such a thing but never personally experienced it.

Looks like a great fit! I have to say, though I don’t doubt the existence of “honeycomb shift” I think it’s impact is a little overblown. If your faded patch behind the knee (and even a wear fade ON the knee) move up your leg by half an inch to an inch, who is realistically going to notice that? Maybe you. Big maybe.

I’d say that marbling is the more prescient and likely of these worries, so I’d be more inclined to just wear them and worry about tomorrow when it comes.

@sabergirl thanks for the input! I do appreciate it. I ended up hot machine washing them. Soaked em in the tub first. No marbling at all!! Phew!! They are still hanging to dry but looks like I got about 1/2” more shrink in the length which is exactly what I wanted!! Fingers crossed the thigh didn’t shrink too much more.

Just put them on damp (80% dry) My curiosity wouldn’t let me go to sleep until I checked. The waist is perfectly snug now and the length is right where I I want it! The thigh has just enough space to be comfy in an XHS. Tomorrow we start our journey!!!

@Mizmazzle Right on dude, glad you did not get any marbling. My pair of 777s have a small amount of marbling but that was before I learned to do what you did, soak them first. I like the marbling on mine though, to each their own. Enjoy the journey, the XHSBB fades so nicely...I think I'll wear mine tomorrow.

I’m getting more stacking than I prefer. So, after 31 straight wear days, I’m going for another hot wash. I cranked the heat up some on the water heater to 140f/ 60c and hot soaked for an hour and back into the wash on hot!

My first hot wash was set to 125f/ 51c and I lost about 1/2 in length. Maybe I’ll get more on this hotter wash. Otherwise, might need to have em hemmed.

Here’s some stack photos and fades taken the day of 2nd wash today. Should be dry by tomorrow to see what the results are.

My daily uniform since the beginning of September. Worn daily except for 3-4 wears in my XHS.
In the spirit of the holidays gratitude I’d like to thank @Kasi once more. Can’t see another pair topping these.

*kind of hard to tell in pics, but if you zoom in on the back center belt loop you can see where the blue indigo from my lefty has transferred. Also on the button fly on the front. Pretty rad.
