FYI, for all those taking the train from HAM...
Apparently, there is construction being done on the S1 line. If you're staying at the Ruby Lotti, you will not be able to get off at the Stadthausbrucke stop. From the info I was given, all stops between Central Station and Altona are closed.

At the airport, I was told to take the S train to Barmbek. You then transfer over to the U3 train. For the Ruby Lotti, you get off at the Rodingsmarkt stop. By the look of the maps, you'd want to get off at the St. Pauli stop, for the Motel One.

My best advice, stop at the airport welcome center, between terminals 1 & 2, after you get through border security. They have maps, and they can sell you a train ticket, as well.

It's suggesting that S1/U3 is a faster route than just taking the S1 and walking, that's the same as how it works in London or any other major city. When you get there, use Google and you'll make it to the hotel just fine
