I don't cuff because it makes it look like your wearing a costume. To me it looks hipster. I just paid 350 for jeans I want them to fit correctly and blend in. I'm not trying to draw attention or show off. Understated is always best. I get that it is time period correct and understand that point.

@themage sorry man, but there are few things more hipster than buying 400$, organic cotton, & raw indigo denim made by a small Japanese atelier.

IMO you paid for you, you wear them how you want to and feck anyone who says otherwise.

@Anesthetist Hipsters shop at goodwill to be ironic....conessours of the finest quality by 350 pants. About 5% of people that cuff their pants can pull it off....the rest look like extras from Grease or little kids playing a character. I don't wear sandals either...men should never show their feet unless your around water IMO. Nobody wants to see hairy ass toes.

There is no "right" answer on how to wear your jeans. If some bought IH jeans and immediately made them into 5" denim jorts and had legs as white as mine and posted 30 pics a day of their inner thighs, i'd still appreciate the passion.

For me I cuff or not cuff depending on the footwear. I also need longer inseam when on horseback as they ride up from the sitting position. I loved cuffing them when i first got into selvedge denim as an attempt to "show off". It shouldn't surprise anyone that in suburban MN no one cares about jeans. everyone wears either A. Mall brand stuff or B. Carhartt gear from tractor supply.

It took a bit to realize that i was dressing only for me, and that's just fine. cuff or don't cuff, but i've said enough.
