@WhiskeySandwich I Agree here. I tried growing a jawline beard when I was a young buck and ended up looking like Abraham Lincoln, It wasn't a good look but I guess if you are going to try different looks do it whilst you are young and dont have a care in the world.

@popvulture I joked with my missus about getting rid of the beard once before and the look I got you would have thought I chucked our quails away.

@JoshC and @EdH , oh I definitely learned this one from experience myself on the early experimentation phase with my facial hair. Now I just let it grow and try to keep it out of my mouth lol

@WhiskeySandwich hahaha I know this all too well, I love a good soup on a winter's day but I go full caveman and don't keep the beard and tash in check soup get all in the moustache end up looking like a bird has nested in there.

I even went for Chris Cornell with a moustache and a little chin strap safe to say I wasn't much of a lady killer with that haha

@JoshC HAHAHAHA that's hilarious and true. Don't get me ranting about how poor a decision it is to eat an ice cream cone.

After my short Abraham Lincoln phase, I moved into an Abraham Ford phase for a week or so, with a handlebar moustache but with long chops.

I think I would rather be rocking the mutton chops than my version of Chris Cornell's look at this bad boy haha to say the confidence in my look back then was very high haha

@JoshC LOL! I would ask if that was a costume party but no one else is dressed up.

I cant talk though, I rocked a terrible goatee at one point.

@T4920 and I were chatting about the cologne and how we like that oil based scents past longer since they don’t evaporate. The one I am using now is the Timshel and it really goes all day. Great stuff for the price.

@Matt I meant to ask you this in Hamburg: what’s your shaving routine, i.e. double edge razor/knife/whatever, soap/creme, any products you’ve tried either yourself or in the shop that you particularly like?

Thanks I think I will pick some up. I bought a hat from an Iron Heart retailer last year and it smelled awesome….patchouli ish. I reached out to them even to see what the scent might be and they just said “shop smell”..been searching for something ever since

As far as my shaving routine currently it’s super basic now. I don’t baby my face whatsoever. I had a stainless steel ejection blade single edge razor but I wasn’t happy with the closeness of the shave compared to a simple Gillette 3/4/5 blade from the grocery store. I use a hemp oil Nivea for men shaving lotion that I like and the aforementioned aftershave. I shave about every 2-3 days and do it right out of a hot shower.
