Arrived today
Is this a serious problem? Should I return it or keep it? The jacket is new and has not been worn.

I wouldn’t say so. Leather is a natural product and that kind of thing is entirely normal. It is those sort of irregularities that will make it unique when the patina comes in.

Sorry, my mistake. Back panel have some wrinkles as you can see on the photos.
Now, my OCD can live with that but I am afraid that leather can crack in the future. Newer had experience with wrinkles on new leather jacket.

I doubt it, unless it is neglected beyond what even the laziest jacket owner (me), is capable of.

Looks fine to me @dex but if you don't like it return it while you still can. My Simmons bilt in Japanese tea core horse hide has all sorts of different grain to it and I love it. You might come to appreciate those kinds of natural variations from the fact that the leather is from an animal, and not a completely industrial process. Simmons Bilt make their stuff one person at a time, and I trust their work to choose suitable hides, but maybe you want to go for some other kind of product?

Does anyone know the difference between the Roadster and the Tailgunner? I see the Tailgunner has the shoulder swing gussets. Is there anything else that separates these two?

@Mizmazzle Looks like the Tail Gunner also has zippy cuffs. Not being a biker myself, it looks to my layman's eye like the Tail Gunner has more utility for biking - shoulder swing gussets for comfort when leaning forward, and zips to tighten the cuffs and keep the wind out of your sleeves.

@EdH thanks Ed! I did just that! Haven’t heard back yet but I’ve been in regular contact with her for the last 6 weeks or so. Think I’m just about ready to pull the trigger on this jacket. Just sorting through any last minute thoughts and possibilities. Both look quite lovely but thinking the Tail gunner is the one for me! Was considering going through Standard and Strange and getting the Vanishing Point. But not sure really what the difference is on those two either. Look about the same other than the zipper pockets. A lot cheaper to go straight through SB on the Tail Gunner too.

My Tailgunner arrived today after emailing Debs for the last 3 months and how awesome is Debs! I was after a fitted jacket that I would wear just a t-shirt underneath. Wearing it, it feels perfect but just wondered what you guys think? Please be honest I won't be offended

@jiminstitches dope!!! Is that the Blattwerk leather? For looks great. Those sleeves should come up some with creasing. I think you’ve got a hell of jacket with a hell of a fit.
