@tody Great concert footage and it is awesome that you were there!! I have often wanted to rock Lemmy's beard, have tried it a couple of times and look like an idiot. The most I can do is a day before I shave it off...

@goosehd That was back in the day when the music industry still had lots of money. Viva Music Television was the German competitor to MTV, based in Cologne. For a few years, they pulled off a large music festival where the city center was basically closed down. IIRC, they even had Manowar headlining the thing at one occasion.

I guess the beard and the jeans shorts are the two things that only Lemmy could pull off...

Ok...throwing this out there for a thought and want to see what you guys think. The music league was a lot of fun and focused on themes for each voting period. Not everyone participated and due to schedules/timing it was difficult for everyone to listen and stay involved.

One of my favourite activities on the forum for many years is a "Theme Week" where each day, we had a theme and all dressed according to the theme. I love music and it's one of the things that truly makes me happy, and I was wondering if we could combine elements of the two.

No voting, just submitting our favourite songs for each genre for the day's theme.

If there is enough interest we can do a "WAYLT - What are you listening to?" week that everyone can get involved with.

Give me your thoughts and possible themes and maybe we can put something together.

Caveat: "No Voting involved, no winners, no losers"...just pure, simple music that fits the theme

@goosehd this sounds fun. I like the challenge of the music league but having the freedom to dip in and out will be good. There will definitely be some categories where I'm on home turf and others where I need the good folks on here to lead me to new listening pleasures

Edit: Yes, you had mentioned it awhile ago and I have one of those memories where I attach people with certain things. I can remember conversations and small details, but ask me to remember someone’s name and I will blank out.

@goosehd Please tell me you knew that they were lip syncing. For starters there’s no amps,and when they do the shortened version of Light My Fire,Densmore forgets to do the accents etc.
