Funny how these seem to like the direct sun to show the contrast vs the overcast conditions (have You taken those in such conditions?) that so much of denim needs to show the contrast.

@Karol these were actually taken when the sun was behind the clouds yesterday. When the fades were more subtle, the bright sun revealed them. Seems the overcast ️ show them more now.

That is not too surprising actually. How far along are yours? I'm rolling in on 70 wears.

I lost count a while ago haha I bought them a little over 18 months ago. You're a savage with the fades tho man, I don't do a whole lot in em besides chill, walk the dog or shovel snow....way to heavy for me to wear from late spring to early fall.

There's gotta be at least 70 days if not more but like I said....

As you know it's hard to capture the fades on these guys unless it'smad sunny out...even then there won't be much to see on my pair anyways.

I just got back from a river walk with my wife and goldens and did a smell check inside the MBs. Today, they definitely, without a doubt, failed the smell test. Phew...musty...if you put your nose close enough to the screen, you might catch a whiff. They are currently soaking in a tub with some Dr. Bronners soap. The water turned brown quickly...I'll post after photos soon. 73 days was how long I made it this time, the pair I faded last fall (21ib) made it to 61 wears. I'll see how well this soapy soak works and try to make it to 100 wears before a machine wash.

Combs from last week doctored just a tad to help show what I see with my eyes. Taking smart phone photos with this denim is crazy hard. It usually seems too flat or too shiny. I'll take more tomorrow after they are completely dry. Wore them again today after a sun dry.

It's not quite summer in my neck of the woods. Temps range from lower 70s and rainy to mid to upper 80s with sun. Moving to the shady countryside from Frederick plus having central air makes it easier than last couple years to wear XHS. Soon I will hang them up till August and switch to 14oz jorts and easy shorts, with 815 when I can.
