Pretty excited about these. Also I noticed something unusual on my pair with completely stitched down heel stays and confirmed with Chris this morning that the new Mr. Lou's wont have pull loops anymore. He also noted future batches will be switching to horween horsehide instead of the maryam.

Saw a cool pair of black roughout boss engineers on a wedge sole at Jinji Paris today last pair in a size 10 and they offered a pretty good discount if anyone’s interested.

I’m waiting on a pair of Mr. Lou’s. You mean to tell me they won’t have the loops on the back to help pull them on like my other engineer boots? If so, I have a major issue with that!

@Palmer, I'd reach out to Chris and see what he can do. Turns out he received a lot of customer complaints or something similar regarding the loop and reverted back to the original 1950s design that never had them. Honestly I don't really miss them. Just surprised me.

Since i have 2 pairs of Engineers(Lofgren) i’m a engineer dude! And a voice inside my head tells me.. psst psst.. try Wesco.. then de demon comes and say: no no you’re a Lofgren dude and so the conversation goes..

Hm why stick to one brand? Plenty of room to spread the love around. I have some Role Clubs coming soon. My Lofgren engineers have been great but they're a bit too small for me, so I'll be putting em up for sale once the the RCs show up.

Whatever the case, Wescos are definitely worth a look. Very well made, and a different vibe from Lofgren.

I have Lofgren, Wesco, Viberg, Trickers, and Zerrows in different makes and models and wear them for different moods and occasions and that doesn’t even include sneakers. Wear what you like, but don’t wear crappy fitting shoes. Your feet, knees, and back will thank you for it as you get older.

Haha I totally agree with you, man. My mom was always harassing me about wearing Cons and Vans when I was young — "those have no support, and you'll regret it later!"

For one, what Goose just said — the fact that IH sells them definitely should speak to their quality. Like I said previously though, they're just a different vibe. I feel like the Wescos are more rugged, definitely a lot more fun to beat the hell up.

RCs are in the hand-finished black over brown horse. Can't wait.

Wesco’s build and durability are the reasons they are my go to boot when I’m riding motorcycles. They do what I need them to do, and I’m never in doubt that they are going to fail me.

IH’s motto is over engineered is our starting point and the same can be said for Wesco.

Lofgren may be a bit more refined, a little more attention to details, but I always reach for one of my Wescos and I actually like the silhouette over the Lofgrens.
And since they are custom, they have just the perfect fit.
If I am not running, I only wear Engineers.
I will however at one point place an order on RC. I love the look, have only heard the best things about the build quality and I like Brian.
