I didn’t realize how big it is…the clothes put everything in perspective and I can see why it was so tough to move.

Heavy old alarm clock... Orange and mint green... Four €... Alarm works really, REALLY well... And it keeps going! I found that out whilst winding it up in the store...

I've never ever wanted to throw something through the room as much as that clock, btw... Maybe someday I can clock a burglar with it!
(If I time my throw well enough...)

@Seul you’re on fire. I havent found a decent score in years but last time it was a really cool primitive milking stool. Flipped it and made some quick cash off it.

I bought this bookcase at the thrift store and whilst re-organising my books I realised 100% of my books are 2ndhand... Neat!..

One kg sounds massive. We need a dummy for size reference ;-).

I think it’s fair to post flea market scores in here, right? I don’t know why but I’ve wanted a type writer for years now Well at my local flea market here in PDX I picked this gem up for $15 and took it for a quick tune up+ribbon (further $20). It feels nice, sounds great and we’ll see if I use it as intended.

@Inorganic you should start a pen pals thread and get a mail correspondence going. That thing is sweet!

In the easy chair with my boots on, melted whiskey in my hand. Could'na been asleep for more than three hours...time to go to work again...

@Inorganic is it bad form to ask which flea market you go to?
I'm always looking for new spots to check out in the Portland area

@Mizmazzle ha! I am going to type a letter to my parents and see how much of a pain that is. I haven’t had a pen pal since the 90’s. Is that still a thing anymore? It would be cool for my son to try that.

@GraemeE no problem at all. I go to the Eagles market every Sunday pretty much. Have been going for over a decade now (even found a $30 pair of wesco’s 6yrs ago!!) It’s in a sad state now vs it’s glory days (ie lots of stolen stuff & a reflection of Portland’s woes as of late) but there are a few gems to be found from time to time. It’s from ~7a-1pm, Sundays @N Lombard & N Exeter up in St Johns. Come thru & let me know when you do if you wanna check it out - or let me know what you score!

@GraemeE for the sake of posterity to remember when the Eagles was at its most special. I picked up this Jacob sheep skull there a few years back. Clean it up, drilled it out, welded up a holder and it now watches over my home office ( & prolly was the catalyst for a few nightmares for my son!)
