Here’s mine after about 10 years.. I wore it a lot for the first three or so years and sporadically after that. Still gets a decent bit of action in the warmer months when I can wear it over just a t-shirt (have outgrown it a bit). As I recall I sold my Gibson SG special to fund it, think this was my second ever IH purchase.

@cityofdelusion I’d say it has softened up a good bit, as far as I can remember it was stiff as a board when new. It has a pretty smooth hand but is still tough and has some rigidness to it, I’d estimate that it feels like a tightly woven 15oz denim now..

@VoodooRay Nice! I wonder if (and how) it could ever get as soft as a pair of broken-in 14, 21 or 25oz denims at some point... Not sure I have the patience it takes to find out though, but I admire yours for it

@cityofdelusion I wore this pretty much all the time even during winter for the first few years that I had it, (I was a student at the time so this and my 21oz 634s were the only nice clothes that I really had). I'd say it softened up a lot after a year of wear but it really came to life after a wash..
