Perhaps an IH groupie motorcycle trip around Argentina would work nicely. Renting reasonable bikes may be the main hurdle. Good roads, excellent wine, nice food, very low prices and great scenery are all everywhere you turn.

          The journey is the objective.

Great pics @motojobobo .. I like the way the tenere rider has his spare tyres strapped to the bike… pretty novel!

He did so because the tires mounted when we set out wouldn’t last the trip. With current tire shortages and imported stuff being expensive in Argentina he brought a new spare set. Just had them mounted today 👌🏼👌🏼
Worked well but he had to be careful in the twisties to avoid dragging them. They were zip-tied to his crash bars. Elegant solution.

@Matt There’s something about the owner of Kiehls being a motorcycle fanatic/collector as all his stores have really cool vintage bikes in them.

That is an elegant solution. And a great ride. I hope one day to get some kms around South America.

It was a stock 76 FXE when I got it. Basically everything is custom. Primary, shifter, handlebars, internal throttle, twin plug heads, dual magneto, starter/battery delete, mid foot controls, gas and oil tanks, rear brake, front end. It’s very fast and fun to ride, but damn it sucks to kick start it. Not a “one kicker”. I came up with the concept and had 3 shop in SoCal helo build it when I lived there.

I was HEAVILY inspired by @guchioguchi bike on IG. The beauty and ingenuity and craftsmanship coming out of the Japanese HD scene is the best on the planet if you ask me.

I might chop the rear end and go rigid… if I do, I’ll retire the pink tins and do something like guchioguchi’s. I didn’t want to completely bite his style, but now I’d prefer something less garish than the pink with black and gold flames. Even tho I think it looks super awesome.

@goosehd the original bike had a spilt terracotta gas tank and a chrome oil tank/battery box. And here’s Guchioguchi’s bike.

@Autorotate Absolutely love it and have always wanted a panhead chopper similar in specs. Definitely a rigid, although I don’t know if my back can handle it anymore.

Love that you kick it over and I bet you’ve got a few good stories 🙂

Also love the pink and that you don’t see it everyday. Mines candy orange and love the brightness of it. Stands out in a crowd.
