Today I was a tourist in my own city, I had a day off from work and spent it on a slow morning and an afternoon in Haarlem (NL). I took a visit to the Frans Hals museum, one of the great Dutch masters. I wandered through the many old narrow streets of Haarlem and tried to imagine what it was like in the Hals era (1582 - 1666) it makes you humble when you realize that you were given time in this place and in this time of wealth.

@bob_z The only place I visited in Haarlem so far was the Jopenkerk... Looks like I have to spend more time there!
