Will 10oz wool shirt overheat me in hot weather?

Just bought my first wool iron heart shirt in 10oz and I’m curious about how it will do in hot weather. I’ve read wool CAN be good in heat. Does anyone have experience in heat with 10oz wool?

I don't have an IH wool shirt but depending on what you consider hot, it will likely still be too hot to wear. Some other wool shirts I have that are less than 10oz with a fairly open weave are too much to wear for me really anytime it's above 60F. Wool is good for regulating temperature but to me that means it's good when you are physically exerting yourself in cold weather. Ymmv

I would think wool in the summer would be too hot. There are surely better options.

depends on the wool. some wool fibers are hollow and can trap in heat during cool months or trap in cool during warm months. that said, however, I think it would depend on your climate and where you'll be, if your body tends to run a little warmer, etc. Can you wear certain types of wool in the heat? Sure. But there are many other better options, in my opinion.
