Overpriced? I guess it’s the usual top notch IH quality. I would say no… japanese leather manufacturers have their price and their stuff is usually worth it.

I have a few questions regarding this jacket:

• Is it already treated with a water repellent / leather protector?  If not, should I treat it myself?

• Is it safe to hang this on a wide-shouldered hanger.  It's fairly light weight but also soft

• When it comes time to condition this leather, how do you do it without getting cream stuck in the perforations

As a comparison, my IHJ-35 is extremely water resistant, the water simply beads up.  I've kept it on a wide-shouldered hanger and there is no signs of stretching.  It's 3 years old and shows no signs of needing conditioning.

1. It'll be naturally water repellant to some extent, like the IHJ-35, but it has had no special water-proffing.  It's full of holes so it'll leak anyway.
   2)Yes, no problem
   3)Use a spray or liquid, not a cream
