The smallest size that will fit my index or middle fingers is 9.5 and I have small hands.

Note that many good art rings are much wider than those of the ring sizers.  You may need to size up.

Also, just about every store that sells rings has sizers and will let you use them to measure your fingers.  In Germany you can do it in Karstadt.

Be sure that your fingers are not cold and sufficiently swollen before measuring.  You can carry a heavy bag in your hand to ensure this.
