Fall/Winter 2019 Highlights
-
never mind the flannels, looking forward to using that waterproof jacket at football next year during winter when it pours!
-
Also, I think it was great there was a western and workshirt variant of the UHFs.

I'm sworn off shirts but there's a load I would have loved to have. The stand out for me was the IHSH-229-SNO, I can't say I've missed out because there is one left in my size, but I'm staying strong.
My purchases this F/W have been more along the lines of filling holes in the wardrobe and prioritising higher end stuff that I've been yearning for. The stand out piece is the SFK goat skin vest. It qualifies as the surprise piece as well because I always thought I'd want the brown/tan but ended up with the black.

This is hard to say for sure as I still plan to get the SNO UHF (waiting for Division Road to release it so I can support the local store) but I would say my favorite piece is the Camel Kersey. The color is phenomenal and the fabric is really great. So good, I'll most likely get the indigo version eventually.
Surprise piece is definitely the Mustard UHF. Liked it when I saw it. Liked it more when the look book came out. The delay of the SNO release at Division Road made me impatient for a UHF so I pulled the trigger. Didn't need it. Definitely love it.
I think it's too early to say I'm gutted on missing anything. In a year I'll probably say I'm bummed to have missed the crazy check though.

The highlight and one item I was hell bent on getting is the Navy Moleskin CPO. The black Serge Western wasn’t even on my radar, but when I saw it,I realized it had my name written all over it. Didn’t get involved in the UHFs,and may find that over time I regret not getting the “Woody”.

Something that never really interested me before but has emerged as my next top pick is the IHJ-79. I know it was a re-run but had never tried it on until came back. The technical stuff IMO is underrated. Can't wait to cop one soon!
Great to hear the varying opinions on the UHF's, pretty clear they're the MVP for F/W Collections and understandably so!

My favorites: IHSH-237 and the storm rider (dunno if this was officially part of fw19).
Gutted that I missed out IHSH-240. I hesitated too long and then they were gone. -
I am impressed by the IHM-30-IND and the IHSH-241-SNO.
I know the N-1 is a mature product but still. It takes the traditional styling and then adds convenience (double action zipper, inside pocket), comfort / warmth (alpaca lined pockets, add'l layer), and indigo (but not denim, which makes it a lot more versatile). It's a winning combo IMHO, and I regret already having a N-1.
The shirt is super classy and will go with everything.

Forgot about that one. It’s definitely a beauty. Sadly for me, an N1 just isn’t in the cards for me and is one of many things I’ve missed out on. Someday I hope to get one

The whole collection has been pretty incredible. I love the camel Kersey but tt has to be the IHSH-237-BLK for me - my new go-to UHF. Initially flew out the door and couldn't believe my luck when an XL came in from Vienna a month or so later
Agree on the 237 [emoji106] IH simply has the best flannels on Earth. The patterns are fantastic, the 12oz aspero cotton is incredibly warm and the snaps make the UHF’s ultra durable. I think this is why I prefer snaps over buttons, namely, you never have to worry about them falling off. I’m up to 9 or so UHF’s and want more. But, as much as I love my UHF’s, I’d like to see more lightweight offerings like the flannels from yrs ago. The ihsh-19 is my grail and if IH put out some lightweight stuff like those I’d be in heaven.

. Just to update, grabbed the IHSH-230/The Woody at Canoe Club this morning. No regrets.

You and me both! well late last night. I had a feeling the woody would be seriously missed if I didbt go in, plus will pair with the moleskine so well.
Canoe club made it a no brainer
Cant wait for it to show up

I had originally planned to nab the StormRider but it just didnt work out for me. Instead, I bought the IHJ-80 and it has blown me away. It is overbuilt, functional, and a very flattering jacket. Everyone I’ve shown it to has been impressed. Coupled with the IHV-36 (another favorite from this F/W), it is a very cozy combo!

Storm rider and the 238.

IH most definatley makes the best flannels ever! My favourite out of the 4 that i own so far is the 240

I picked up three UHFs this season. The 232, 237 and 230. The Mustard has turned out to be my surprise pick up and, favorite! Was dead set on the Tarten check but the measurements just weren't gonna work out in one way or another, the Mustard had been growing on me, and that photo of Sam "in the wild" wearing the Mustard was just amazing! Sold!
Really digging the crazy check as well, two stunning shirts!
