Thanks y’all! I’ve been at work from sunup to sundown again today, and still haven’t gotten the full pics/measurements treatment done yet. Truthfully, it may be the weekend before I get to it, or even get to wear em—but I’m really stoked.

I feel like the thigh is going to have enough give for me in the 36, Reuben—but, you usually take a 34, right? Anyhoo, thigh is my most sensitive measurement, and if there isn’t stretch, I absolutely must have 13.5” thigh. This can be very limiting with most IH cuts, and has def kept me way out of the 555.

These seem like they’re going to be so comfy. That skoosh of stretch has been what I’ve been waiting for from Haraki for so long. (I busted out of the TW stretch sample I have in 34. Should actually get them repaired—the button pulled out partially.)

Just had a look again and it may be a non-starter for me. The W34’s have a thought under 12”. I could size up to a W36 but I suspect I’ll be swimming in that waist [emoji31]

Here’s the measurements of my size 36, the IH way, before wearing:

            Waist: 18.25”
            Front rise: 11.5”
            Rear rise: 16.25”
            Thigh: 13.25”
            Knee: 8.5”
            Hem: 8”

I love them, already! Only really gotten to wear them to walk the dog, and lounge on the couch, but they’re definitely winners.

The denim is nice and heavy, great soft hand that you would expect from Iron Heart, but stretchy!! The face is very smooth, and the indigo is dark and rich. I expect there might be high contrast fades if I don’t have to wash too much.

Thanks for documenting these. This gives me hope seeing as the thigh measured by you is considerably larger than what is published on the website.

I did ask for the largest thigh of all pairs. But they’re definitely a fair bit larger than the published measurements would imply. shrugs

Haraki-san brought some samples of Ignition gear to the party this weekend. Pretty amazing stuff. All the quality of IH but with some details and variations that set it apart. The waffle knit sweats are seriously nice. @scooter nailed the blacked out type III though

One of the things that Harley does, which IH Ignition has incorporated on their vests, and jackets, is the snap down collar, which aside from looking nice keeps the collars from flapping around when on the bike. Wish that vest fit me.

Buddy, the snap down collar, the zip/snap combo are amazing. Practically AND style wise. The denim is new, and I’ll let G-san give you the details. I’ll admit I was sceptical regarding the alternations to the classic type III pockets and seams based on pics but IRL they make perfect sense and present as streamlined badassery.

The vest is high on my list of wants, I will admit. The zip/snap closure is the biz. Of course, I want the XHS vest for similar reason. 1st one to come out with a band collar/snaps is going to have to take my money! Or a kidney.

This could well be my first vest, really like the looks and motorcycle-oriented practical details.

Since it isn’t identical to type IIIs, could the pockets be moved a bit lower towards the bottom hem?

Perfect vest for some GAH add ons!

                            The journey is the objective.

I can’t remember but I think that was an XL and scooter takes XXL in shirts.

While this is a sample, I’m pretty sure they are in production now and therefore too late for modifications.

I will say that I have a feeling that the pocket would be too shallow to be useful as handwarmers if the openings were placed any lower.

It will be stunning with some quality silver applied to it.

                                        Front rise: 11.5”

                                        Knee: 8.5”
                                        Hem: 8”

Alrighty, here’s today’s measurements after about 20 wears, no washes:

                                        Waist: 18.5”
                                        Front rise: 11.5”
                                        Back rise: 16.75”
                                        Thigh: 13.25”
                                        Knee: 8.5”

So, if my measurements were taken well both times, we’re looking at only about 1/4” of stretch in the waist and 1/2” in the back rise. Surprisingly, no stretch in the thigh or knee.

I can’t stress enough how much I love these! Favorite pair of jeans in a loooong time.
