Quoting Images - Please Don't

As a group, we need to stop quoting images unless it is absolutely necessary. Having a series of quoted images spoils the general flow of the thread and spoils the user experience, especially when the user is on a low bandwidth network (yes, they do still exist).
The mods will get much more vigilant with this. Quoted images will be removed and a reminder sent to the poster asking them to stop.
Please help us keep the forum clean.

OK… As even my comment on my (admittedly painfully obvious) joke being deleted within minutes also got deleted within minutes, I don't even know what to think. Did we all just flip the serious switch? I thought this was a somewhat irreverent and tongue-in-cheek forum…

It is.
But we’re also making a serious point here, so the fun and irreverence can continue (without quoted images) elsewhere.
Thank you for your reply. I've just had a heck of a morning, and getting both of my comments deleted–especially when I've never (before said dumb attempt at humour) misused a quoted image in a single post since joining--really rubbed me up the wrong way.
I'll see how I feel after I get some sleep, but I think I'm probably done round here.

I made a joke about wanting to quote @Finkster 's image. A couple of people (Mods actually) piled in, and also made jokes.
The point about this thread is extremely important, so I decided we would delete all posts (including mine) that undermined the central point.
Sorry if a well intentioned initiative has pissed people off.
