    @Alex:

    Pass, @wdw

All wesco boots come with stock nylon (we cannot change the length) and a pair of the longest leather that we stock in the best matching colour, in this case black.

Thanks, @Alex, no biggie.  I'm never a fan of stock nylon laces anyway, so will get whatever increased length I got for my 7 hole Trickers and IRs.  The leather laces could be interesting, though, similar to my Lennon boots.  .

Wesco's leather laces are quite frankly incredible. They are very long, can easily be customised to the required length and strong af. They also hold a knot very well.

I can't do leather laces- they always twist around and the look of it drives me up a wall

Ordered.  I tried to resist, but it was futile.

@Alex, as a matter of interest, what length are the laces?  I find laces generally come in shorter than I like, so usually buy longer ones.

I ordered last week. Right there with you brother, I couldn't resist. Now the waiting game begins.

After building myself up a few hours at a time the boots are now nicely broken in and super comfy  😎

Looks great. Thanks for the pics. My order is in.  Now if only we can all get ours early.  😃

Nothing beats the rawhides… I've literally put them in all my boots... Fun trivia: one Wesco rawhide leather = long enough for a pair of Red Wing chukkas...

Recieved a email from Iron Heart the other day. Informed me that when I ordered my boots the details on the boots read 1339 last but that was incorrect and they will be using a MP95. From what I've read on other blogs the 1339 last runs narrow and the MP95 last runs wide. I'm wondering if I should switch to a 10 D instead of my original order which is a 10 E. All my Red Wings boots are a 10 D and my Lofgren Combat boots are a 9.5 D. Any one have thoughts and comments between the widths on the 1339 last and MP95 last. Thanks in advance.

That is what they say, however I've tried on the MP95 last (half sized down from my brannock, same size as my Red Wing IR) in the regular D width and found it quite narrow. I will definitely be going for an E width.

Just my two cents. If you have worn our MP Toe with the taller heel you should be finding that the fit is a tad narrow, but if you are wearing our MP toe with one heel lift (our standard low heel) those should be decently wide.
We say to size up a width on the #1339 IE: if you wear a 9d in our off the shelf Jobmaster we would tell you to go 9E, buuuuuut if you are wearing a 9D in our off the shelf Jobmaster we recommend you would go 9C in the MP95.

Even with this said, many of us have different levels of comfort when it comes to our footwear. Some like their boots to fit really snug and then break in, some want the boots to barely touch their feet from the start :)!

@Chris at Wesco, I'll go straight to the horse's mouth, if you don't mind.  I'm very happy in off the shelf Boss and Jobmaster in 11D.  I initially went 11E in these Rough-outs, then was advised 11D, so changed.  The last thing I want is a tight fit, so would you recommend 11E now?

Having said that, IH have kindly said that exchanging between widths after purchase doesn't cost anything, so I'm not too concerned, as it'll be all right one way or another.

Are both of the off the shelfs you have with a round toe and three lifts in the heel?

Yes, standard heel, round toe.  I also have 11D Boss with Harness toe which turned out a bit too narrow.

I would say the "D" width.

11E in the round toe boss and Jobmaster has a Ball measurement of 10.5 and an instep of 11

11D in the MP 95 has a Ball measurement of 10.5 and an instep of 10 7/8
11E in the MP 95 has a ball measurement of 10 3/4 and an instep of 11 1/4

Thanks for the info. It makes me more confident about my decision to back down from the EEE I requested, when I believed they would be on the 1339. I went with EE for the MP95.

True.  A bootmaker once told me that getting the right fit on someone is 50% in the feet and 50% in the head.
