@Oaktavia @alexswords both of you are doing great work. These two pairs have the makings of legendary jeans.
My 888-XHSib have finally returned to rotation. They are almost a year old and only have about 30 wears. Love the cut, love the denim but I just find it hard to pair with other stuff in my wardrobe. I started doing some construction stuff with them in the summer to accelerate wear and tear, and then sort of forgot about them. I'll be making a point of wearing them more often now and hope to have something interesting to contribute on that thread.
Definitely a goal to get some of that sweet honeycomb development you guys have got, as well as seeing more of the white coming through.

Heck yeah buddy! I just flipped my pair right-side-out this morning after the machine wash. I put them on when they were still a bit damp. Man, they need to stretch back out! Haha…nothing some lunges and squats can't help.
I'll update with post wash photos this afternoon. Even in my dimly lit room, I noticed more white areas have popped out after the machine wash. They feel super crispy!
My next pair of XHS will be a different cut. I dig the 555, but I would like some more wiggle room. Especially in the summer months. I've been eyeing the 666 or 634...that'll be a project for next winter.

You’ve seen the 777 SBG that come out yesterday? «Only» 21oz but the SBG is the best fun to fade.

After lusting after @Oaktavia's jeans for months, I finally pulled the trigger on these. Thanks to @Graham for helping me and putting up with my incessant questions.
Cool dude, stoked to see your fade photos as time goes on. I'm nearing my one year mark on mine to give a frame of reference. Wore them 2-3 times a week every week minus June-August months.

Good to know. I was planning on wearing them almost every day for the first month, then tapering off to something like that schedule. I figure I have until late May before I can't wear them anymore.

That's the way to do it. They are quite the chore to break in, so wearing them that often will help hasten that process. Honestly though, mine didn't feel truly comfortable until about two months ago.

Oh jezz. I sized up because of that fact. I have the "normal" 25oz ones, and wear them infrequently because they are a bit tight. If they were just a bit bigger, I wouldn't mind, so, hopefully, I dodged that bullet this time. I know I need to wear them more but it feels like a chore. Anyway, with this pair, I'm just going to force myself to wear them. I'm planing ahead.

I went TTS and they were the same measurements as another lighter pair I had, but felt much tighter due to the toughness of the denim. It was hard to cross my legs for months haha. Post some fit pics when they arrive! I can't get enough of this 555XHSib!

An update from my pair after 8 weeks of wear. Some evo starting to manifest itself already! I'm really enjoying wearing these. I didn't find them as hard to break in as I had expected. Kneeling down to do stuff for more than a few minutes does seem to produce heightened risk of trombosis however!

True story! This too, will pass however. I don’t think the version of the XHS is quite as mean-spirited as the earlier batches of the standard XHS. Whether that is the different dyeing process, or just something with the weave, I don’t know. But bending down in 25oz slim cut jeans is always going to be interesting [emoji1]
