I think the empiri on the matter is clear  [emoji23] Seriously though half term and normal cognitive function are not common bedfellows. I could have written any old horseshit [emoji6]

I just saw that the new SS/20 release says “Beige” but looks very similar to the “Khaki” of last year.
Does anyone know if they’re different?

It's Khaki NOT Beige….Sorry for the confusion.....

The khaki is such a great jacket that looks amazing with blue denim.

I'm super pumped for the indigo cord type III that's coming soon.

I don’t think I’ll be taking this off for the next few months! 😎

Cant wait to see what the fades will be/look like after some wear.
                            congrats on the key buy

Bought a “medium” from a US retailer based on similar measurements to rogue territory supply jacket medium- which fits me well.

But the measurements of the actual jacket (38) is close to small measurements listed on ironheart.co.uk…very confused and I’m stuck with a final sale item that’s one size smaller in fit...

                                I believe 38 is medium.

Whenever possible, go by IHUK's measurements.  It's tricky when there are multiple releases of an item, though. I find that different releases have slightly different measurements.  That might be why a retailer's long unsold IH piece might have a different measurements than the measurement chart on IHUK's site.  i.e. the retailer had a piece from the previous release cycle which had different measurements from the current release cycle.

I'm assuming a lot up there.  Do the jacket measurements match the measurements given by the retailer?

ok upon re measure it is close to M…

And I’m not if it was me not use to the shorter cut...

How does the following fit looks?

I think arm down unbutton looks fine.

But notice that it is a bit tight when I button up, and raising the arm would cause sleeve riding up and shoulder pulling the fabrics.

Personally, I like a Type III to be slightly on the tight side, so I would live with the body fit.  The arm length is possibly a bit short, but only you can decide if you can live with it (I would)….. 😉

To my eye the body length and shoulder width look perfect, as noted already the arms look borderline short, but I wouldn’t have noticed if it wasn’t for the focus on them, nor are they definitively short. I think you need to consider how much you will reach for it, or if your qualms about it will put you off wearing it regularly.

Personally, I would size up.  I don't disagree with Giles and Neph but I was in a similar position and decided to size up and I'm glad that I did.  In my case, the chest was a bit tight on a medium but the arms were also a tad short.  It was very apparent when I reached for something.  You can see my post from years back in which I was on the fence:

                                          https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=11430.msg553983#msg553983

That said, I don't think it looks bad.  But, if you're like me and are going to agonize about it, time after time standing in front of the mirror wondering if you should've sized up, just size up now and get it over with 😃

One good reason for sizing up would be the flexibility it gives you. You could fit shirts and hoodies  under it.
