Looks good @setandsetting.  Is that the black one in the background too or is that an OD type III?

      That’s the 526jod drying after a wash.

As much as it pains me to say this, I will have to move mine on.

I nabbed the brown. The color and fabric are fantastic; all that I had hoped for. Shoulder, sleeve, chest all work well. But, the modified length isn't going to do it for me. I knew this may be an issue, but I thought it would be worth a try, anyway. After all, this was a grail item for me. Shoulder, chest, and arm length put me squarely in XXXL territory. But, while I'm about 6'2", I'm far more leg than body. I requested one with shortest body length possible, and it still extends well past my waist, roughly to the bottom of my fly.

Unfortunately, for me, I'm just going to have to give up on modified type IIIs, completely. Thanks again to the IH crew for their service. I'll be putting it on the BST thread, for a week or so, for anyone in the US who may be interested. If not, I'll be returning it to the UK. There is another jacket I've had my eye on, and it may very well suit me better.

I was worried that this was exactly what was going to happen to me too. Have you thought of trying a big XXL?

I would definitely give an XXL a go. Spec for the shoulders would work, but it would have to be a bit larger in the chest, and somewhere closer to 26" in length. Of course, the XXL in brown are all sold out, and with the limited number produced, I think the chances of acquiring one would be slim-to-none, unfortunately.

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

I’m sure some will pop up in the for sale threads or there might be some returns. It’s worth keeping an eye out. I’m by no means small and the XXL worked out pretty good.

I successfully avoided this thread long enough for the Brown to be sold out in Small.  Jacket is a stunner.

Jacket is pips and gravy.  As per usual with IH, sized up and happy.  3XL.  I'm 6'2"/200, but broad shoulders and arms.  Glad the khaki is sold out, otherwise would pick that one up, too.

Pretty much every fit in this thread is killer.  Especially the chocolates, IMO.  Wish I had been able to grab one.

Alright guys, I didn't want to do this but I need some advice.  I'm one of those lucky individuals that always gets stuck between sizes on IH stuff.  In this case, between a M and a L.

I tend to stick to what I feel is the intended slimmer fit on the type III jackets and the medium gives me that but I wonder if it's a little too slim.  The large, on the other hand, serves as a great jacket without being too large, but I lose that slim fit that I tend to associate with the type III.

I can button the medium but not very well.  I can button the large pretty easily.  I honestly don't plan on ever buttoning them in actual use.

Here's some terrible pics of my indecision.

Get the large and give it a warm wash. I think it will be perfect after a wash.

The trim fit of the M looks very sharp and this is how a Type III should fit. If both work for you, the M has definitely my vote.
