Had this in South Tyrol this week. Really nice and I would totally buy a case if I could find it online (I haven’t looked that hard, yet, but it was not immediately obvious when I tried quickly!)

Italian wine.. montepulciano or a aglianico, a good classic and rich kinda taste

Used to drink a lot more wine than we do these days, and perhaps it's a lame cop-out to say this, but my favorite wine will always be Champagne. It goes with pretty much any food, is also great by itself, suitable for any special or mundane occasion, and it's got bubbles :D. Before I came to accept this I'd always have to preface what wine with what food. Also to reduce the amount of snobbiness behind saying "Champagne", I'm also good with whatever regional sparkling so long as it's dry'ish.

Not really a wine drinker, but my better half recently forced me to drink it in Montepulciano. Let’s just say wine and I found some common ground. And some shakey ground….Apparantly Montepulciano wine is good enough for her to ship 24 bottles back to Colorado!
